There are literally hundreds of tools designed to help you keep your PC Directx9 Runtime, and many strike a better Directx9 Runtime between ease of use and user input into the process. Directx9 Runtime takes forever to get started and once you have it set up, fails to do what it's supposed to. It's hard to say why this program is such a large download and resource hog, but there's definitely room for improvement when it comes to functionality.
